There is a lot to be said for how design elements can make people feel. This beautiful family home in Randwick is a prime example. This home has beautiful large living spaces but the position of the kitchen made the family feel disconnected when utilising the space. It was a dark, narrow, awkward working space but had huge potential to be as beautiful as the rest of the house! With an existing window right on a boundary wall facing nothing but next doors side wall we had our work cut out for us to make this space feel modern, light, functional and part of the existing home the family would choose to spend their time in. With the use of colour, materials and featuring some lovely warm timber and beautiful reconstituted stone elements, we created a space the family now love.
